Baldface Lodge

Baldface Cat-Skiing Lodge is located at 7000 feet above sea level. Everything about this project was extreme. It involved additional factors not common to the average site; for example, the road had to be built to the top of the mountain first. Due to the substantial winter snow load, very large timbers were implemented throughout the structure (instead of 8X8" posts, 14X14" were required). The Austrian style of the lodge and the sizable components allow it to withstand over 300 tonnes of snow on the roof.
